Take me out to the Ballgame!

A huge group from our church attends a Sky Sox game once every summer...this was Eleanor's first ball game! Grampa Steve was here to go with us, and Todd got to throw the first pitch and sing the National Anthem with some others from church. We didn't eat any hot dogs or apple pie, but it was an all-American evening!

Happy Girl

Forward Facing

At long last the day has come for Eleanor to see where we're going in the car, instead of where we've been. All of us are enjoying the forward facing carseat!

"Wrastling"

One of Eleanor's relatively recent favorite things to do is wrestle with Daddy (but they call it "wrastling"). She loves it! Here she is trying out her skills with a friend from church, Ella Pam, about a month ago. Aren't they cute!

It's a Boy!

Yep, the jury's in, and our new little bun-in-the-oven is a boy! We are so excited. His nickname for now is Bub. Laugh if you want, it was that or Popeye! During our ultrasound he was opening and closing his mouth, waving his arms, very busy...I think he and Eleanor will get along well! I don't know how so many of you make it to 40 weeks to find out the gender of your baby...I could hardly wait until 20. :D

Eleanor's 1st Swim

Today we took Eleanor to the Y for her first time in the pool! She wore her floaty swimsuit from Grandma Ruthie and she was like a little fish. No fear of the water. Maybe it helped that when we got in, she was so enthralled with the other kids, the noodles, and especially the big yellow ball, that she hardly noticed the big scary pool! She blew some bubbles, kicked her legs, splashed her hands, jabbered, and tried to keep that big yellow ball in her line of sight at all times. She also enjoyed hanging on the side of the pool and smiling and waving at the lifeguard guys!
