A New Life

Our dear friends Davis and Elizabeth just had their first baby, Felicity Emilene, on April 24th. She is just under 5 pounds and so beautiful! They have had quite a journey and we are just rejoicing with them over little Felicity. Eleanor enjoyed waving and waving to Felicity even though she couldn't wave back!

More

So, Eleanor doesn't really talk yet (she knows Daddy and Banana..I hope Mama will come around and stick one of these days!) but she understands a ton of what we say, and she communicates pretty well without the English language! Her favorite sign right now is "more." All day every day, she wants "more", she loves "more"! More food, more juice or milk, more songs, more games, more nursery rhymes, more tickles, more climbing the stairs, more turning the lights on and off...and especially more books! She has about 25 books that we read through many times a day. She is quite content but I must say I am getting desperate for new board books! I have had most of these memorized for months! :D I think I am going shopping soon. I am so happy to have a daughter who loves to read and play, and whose favorite word is "more" instead of "no"!

In the Backyard

Today really felt like spring! (Which probably means tomorrow we will have a blizzard. Colorado likes to play tricks on us this time of year!) We spent the afternoon working on the yard and pruning bushes. Eleanor helped out when she wasn't napping...she loves being outdoors but gets a little grossed out by the feel of grass, as you can see! I had to include a photo of Luther, our mammoth animal...although he is a crazy beast, we sure are glad he's around! He and Eleanor get along well.

We were blessed to have Grandpa Rod & Grandma Ruthie, Grandpa Steve & Grandma Gayle, and both Uncle Andy and Aunt Polly in town for birthday festivities. We love our fam!

The Second Party

Here are photos from Eleanor's second 1st birthday party (confusing, I know). The cake was obviously a big hit! Our munchkin knows how to party!
