A Rose by Any Other Name...

Some time ago, Eleanor liked pancakes.
Then she didn't.
So we tried calling them "flapjacks" - didn't work.
We tried calling them "griddlecakes" - magic! Now she likes them enough (especially loaded with chocolate chips and topped with berries) that we can call them pancakes again.

Eleanor isn't too picky about her food, but she DETESTS tomatoes and red sauces of any kinds (also salad dressings and syrup). Actually, she wouldn't know because she has always refused to try! Well, tonight we were eating pancakes topped with berries, and she saw the berry "juice" in the bottom of the bowl and wanted some. I poured it over her pancakes and she was pretty excited. She took one bite - YUMM! She had just taken another bite when Todd said, "Eleanor, look, it's RED SAUCE!" (in hopes this would improve her thoughts about red sauces). With a horrified look on her little face, that food came right back out! I think Todd's plan backfired. We renamed it "pink berry juice" and convinced her she could finish the pancake.

Very funny story, Noelle. There's the little sin nature hard at work!
I can't wait to see you all in about one week!

So, funny, Noelle!! Crazy how they can get one thing in their head and it just won't change!!

I got your comment about danny at the library. Yes, I think you should enjoy those quiet days at the library with Eleanor while you can! Pretty soon William will be tearing the house down!! :) At least that's what danny likes to do. :) He enjoys books at home thankfully.
